中新农业是专业从事猕猴桃产业的现代农业企业。
公司成立于2006年，注册资本8000万元人民币，现有员工157人，其中博士7人，硕士16人，本科78人。公司规划以蒲江临溪河流域5万亩猕猴桃产业带为核心，在成都地区发展10万亩，广元、德阳发展7.5万亩，其中自种7.5万亩，整合带动农户发展10万亩。中新农业与世界最大猕猴桃公司Zespri已结成全面的战略合作伙伴，并与智利、意大利猕猴桃专业公司都建立了紧密联系。为促进中国猕猴桃产业的发展，提升中国猕猴桃产业的国际地位，中新农业与中国科学院武汉植物园共同成立中国猕猴桃工程中心，“中心”是产业发展的科技支撑和国际交流平台。公司在品种引进、选育、种植、加工、包装、冷藏储运、国际化销售方面形成了完整的产业链。
通过近三年的标准化管理，四川中新农业科技有限公司与中国科学院武汉植物园合作的国内首个专利保护、黄肉型猕猴桃新品种“金艳”在成都市蒲江县万亩基地陆续挂果及采摘。
对果形、糖度、硬度、Vc含量等主要指标的检测，均达到目前同类果品的优质指标，受到了行家和游客的一致好评。据“金艳”育种人代表王圣梅研究员介绍，该品种是中科院武汉植物园利用遗传学理论与杂交育种策略研发出的新品种，是与新西兰“HORT16A”黄金果、意大利“JINTAO”（金桃）相当的主打品种。比起其他猕猴桃品种，其果实大小更匀称，外形更光洁，商品率达75%，挂果后成熟时间长，具有极强的早果性、丰产性和耐贮藏性，在常温下可贮藏两个月。
